
Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce Announces 2025 Slate of Officers and Honors Citizen of the Year
Chamber welcomes new leadership and honors Frank Murray as Citizen of the Year at Holiday Luncheon
EVERGREEN PARK, IL – The Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce celebrated a momentous holiday luncheon last month, marking the installation of its 2025 officers and directors and recognizing an outstanding community leader with the prestigious Citizen of the Year Award.
The luncheon began with the Evergreen Park High School Madrigal Choir delighting attendees with a beautiful performance of Christmas songs, setting the tone for a celebratory afternoon.
Mayor Kelly Burke of the Village of Evergreen Park officiated the swearing-in ceremony for the Chamber’s newly elected officers and directors, who are poised to lead the organization into another successful year:

During her inaugural address, Elizabeth Lawler, the newly elected President, shared her vision for the Chamber’s future. “It is truly a privilege to stand before you today as the newly installed President of this incredible Chamber of Commerce,” Lawler stated. "Our Chamber has always been a vibrant force, not just for business, but for our entire community. Together, we have opportunities to innovate, grow, and strengthen the bonds that unite us. I am looking forward to working with our local businesses and community leaders to make this a year of progress, unity, prosperity, and fun."

A highlight of the luncheon was the presentation of the Citizen of the Year Award to Frank Murray, Immediate Past President of the Chamber and Director of the Evergreen Park Public Library. Frank was honored for his dedication and contributions to the Evergreen Park community through his leadership and service. Several staff and board members of the Evergreen Park Public Library, along with Frank’s family, were present to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.
“Frank exemplifies the spirit of community service and leadership that makes Evergreen Park special,” said Laura Shallow, 1st Vice President of the Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce, as she presented the award. “His tireless efforts have left a lasting impact, and we are proud to honor him today.”
The Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce expressed gratitude to the outgoing leadership team for their hard work and dedication over the past year, while the new slate of officers and directors looks ahead to an exciting year of growth and collaboration.
