New Grant Opportunities for Evergreen Park Businesses and Organizations
State Rep. Rick Ryan Highlights Funding Programs for Local Innovation and Community Development
The Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce is pleased to share several new grant opportunities highlighted by State Representative Rick Ryan. These programs, available through the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO), may support the growth, innovation, and development of local businesses and community organizations.
SBIR/STTR Match Program
The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs provide federal funding to help small businesses conduct research and development on emerging technologies. The State of Illinois is offering a match program for companies that have received an SBIR/STTR Phase I award.
Eligible Applicants:
For-profit Illinois businesses with a Phase I SBIR/STTR award.
Application Deadline:
June 30, 2026
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Economic Development Program
This federal program supports projects that help create or retain full-time, permanent jobs. Funding is available for communities in non-metropolitan areas and may be used for business assistance or infrastructure improvements that directly support local companies.
Eligible Applicants:
Communities in non-metropolitan areas.
Application Deadline:
Rolling
Federal Grant Match Support Program
This program helps applicants meet federal matching fund requirements when applying for competitive federal grants. The goal is to strengthen applications and increase the number of Illinois projects aligned with state economic development priorities.
Eligible Applicants:
Nonprofits, educational institutions, businesses, and local governments.
Application Deadline:
Open; no specific due dates.
